Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Hearing aid Technician role *trainee* based in the Capital Governorate, Bahrain. The Electronics Technician will perform maintenance, repair, and calibration of optical and hearing aid devices and related electronic equipment. Daily tasks include diagnosing electronic faults, conducting detailed troubleshooting, performing soldering and component replacement, and ensuring all equipment operates safely and reliably. The role also involves preventive maintenance, documenting service activities, collaborating with opticians and audiologists, and supporting the introduction and setup of new technologies and devices. The technician will follow quality and safety standards and provide technical input to improve service efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Electronics Technology and Electricity, with the ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics.
Proficiency in Troubleshooting and fault diagnosis for electronic devices, ideally including optical and hearing aid equipment.
Hands-on Soldering skills for component-level repair and assembly of electronic circuits and boards.
Experience in Maintenance & Repair of electronic systems, including preventive maintenance and calibration tasks.
Relevant technical diploma or certificate in electronics, electrical engineering, biomedical equipment technology, or a related field.
Attention to detail, strong documentation habits, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.
Ability to work collaboratively with clinical and retail teams, and communicate technical information clearly to non-technical colleagues.
Previous experience in medical devices, optical equipment, or hearing aid technology is an advantage.
