ABOUT THE ROLE
Austria has a significant shortage of skilled electrical trade workers and actively recruits qualified electricians from India and South Asia. We are placing Electrician Helpers and Electrical Technicians with established Austrian electrical contractors working on residential, commercial and infrastructure projects in Vienna. This is a highly respected trade position with excellent growth potential in a country known for high wages and quality of life.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assisting lead electricians in wiring, cable pulling and conduit installation on residential and commercial sites
• Installing electrical panels, distribution boards and consumer units under supervision
• Connecting lighting circuits, power outlets, switches and earthing systems
• Conducting basic fault finding, circuit testing and continuity checks
• Reading and interpreting single-line diagrams and electrical drawings
• Installing cable trays, trunking systems and surface conduit on walls and ceilings
• Maintaining tools, test equipment and work areas in clean and safe condition
• Adhering to Austrian VDE/OVE electrical standards and site safety regulations
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
• ITI Electrician trade certificate (NCVT/SCVT) mandatory
• Minimum 2 years of practical field experience in domestic or commercial electrical work
• Basic English communication (A2-B1 level) for site instructions
• Willingness to learn basic German for workplace interaction (employer provides classes)
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces with proper safety equipment
• Familiarity with single-phase and three-phase wiring systems
• Age between 22 and 42 years
• Valid passport; Austrian work permit arranged by employer after shortlisting
