role description

this is a full-time remote role for a protection relay engineer. the protection relay engineer will be responsible for conducting tests and maintenance on sub-station equipment using the amt 205 testing kit. tasks include analyzing and troubleshooting protection relay systems, preparing test reports, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and providing technical support to clients. the engineer will collaborate closely with team members to improve testing procedures and solve complex issues effectively.

qualifications

knowledge in testing and maintaining protection relays and sub-station equipment

experience with troubleshooting, analyzing, and resolving technical issues related to electrical testing

strong understanding of industry standards and regulatory compliance for electrical testing

ability to prepare detailed technical reports and documentation of testing results

effective communication skills for providing technical support and collaborating with team members

bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field

experience with amt 205 or similar relay testing kits is a plus

proficiency in using related software and testing tools

ability to work independently and remotely, managing multiple tasks efficiently
