job summary:

we are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented electrical designer to join our team. in this role, you will be responsible for creating electrical designs, schematics, and layouts for a variety of projects, ensuring that they meet both technical specifications and industry standards. you will work closely with engineers, architects, and other design professionals to provide high-quality, functional electrical systems for commercial, industrial, or residential buildings.

key responsibilities:

electrical design & drafting: create detailed electrical drawings and schematics using autocad, revit, or similar design software.

system design: design electrical systems for power distribution, lighting, controls, and low-voltage systems based on project requirements and industry standards.

coordination: collaborate with engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure the integration of electrical systems with other building systems.

specification writing: assist in the preparation of electrical system specifications, including equipment, materials, and installation methods.

code compliance: ensure all designs comply with relevant local, state, and national electrical codes (., nec, iec).

project support: provide technical support during the construction and installation phases of electrical systems.

troubleshooting: identify and resolve design issues, providing solutions for technical challenges.

documentation: prepare and maintain design documentation, including drawings, specifications, change orders, and other project-related documents.

site visits: conduct site surveys and inspections as needed to gather data and ensure proper implementation of designs.

qualifications:

education: associates or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electrical technology, or related field (or equivalent experience.
