• Prepare dialysis machines, equipment and supplies before treatment.
• Verify patient identity, prescription and treatment requirements.
• Measure and record patients’ weight, temperature, blood pressure and pulse.
• Prepare patients for haemodialysis procedures.
• Assist with vascular-access care under authorised clinical supervision.
• Operate and monitor dialysis machines throughout treatment.
• Observe patients for complications, including low blood pressure, cramps, nausea or allergic reactions.
• Immediately report abnormal readings or changes in a patient’s condition to the nurse or physician.
• Record treatment details, machine readings and patient observations accurately.
• Clean, disinfect and sterilise dialysis equipment and treatment areas.
• Perform routine machine checks, calibration and basic troubleshooting.
• Test and monitor water-treatment systems according to safety standards.
• Follow infection-control, biomedical-waste and occupational-safety procedures.
• Maintain adequate stocks of dialysers, tubing, medicines and other consumables.
• Provide basic treatment-related guidance and emotional support to patients.
• Assist during dialysis-related emergencies according to established protocols.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with healthcare regulations.
