This Database Administration is a responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance and security of an organizations database. Their primary role is to ensure the efficient and reliable operation of the databases, which serve as critical components of an organization's information infrastructure. Here is a typical job description for a DBA:

1) Understand the oracle database requirements for the various applications.

2) Should have good knowledge of Oracle Database.

3) Install and configure Oracle database software on servers and client machines.

4) Should be able to design and implement database structures, tables, views, indexes and other database objects to optimize performance and ensure data integrity.

5) Analyze and optimize SQL queries, indexing strategies, and database parameters to improve overall system performance.

6) To create and modify database schemas to accommodate change in business requirements.

7) Perform regular database maintenance tasks such as backups, recovery, and patching to ensure data availability and reliability.

8) Implement and configure oracles high availability features, such as oracle real application cluster (RCA) and data guard.

9) Identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks, and query execution.

11) Should perform periodic performance tuning exercise, including index optimization, query optimization, and database parameter tuning.
