Data Modeling Consultant

We are looking for a skilled Data Modeling Consultant to join our team in Bangalore on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have 8 to 12 years of experience in data modeling and related fields.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- **Design Data Models:** Create conceptual, logical, and physical data models that meet business requirements while ensuring high performance and scalability.

- **Collaborate with Stakeholders:** Work closely with business analysts, technical teams, and end-users to gather requirements and align data models with project goals.

- **Optimize Data Structures:** Analyze existing data models and make recommendations for improvements to support future growth and integration.

- **Implement Data Standards:** Establish and enforce data governance and modeling standards to ensure consistency and quality across all data assets.

- **Documentation:** Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of data models, ensuring that they are easily understandable for stakeholders and team members.

- **Mentor Junior Team Members:** Provide guidance and support to junior data modelers, helping them to enhance their skills and knowledge in data modeling practices.

**Required Skills and Expectations:**

The candidate should have a strong background in data modeling methodologies and tools, with expertise in SQL and relational databases. Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes is essential. The ideal candidate should also have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to communicate complex ideas in simple terms. Experience with data visualization tools and cloud-based data solutions is a plus. A proactive attitude and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment are also important.
