Data Input: Entering alphabetic, numeric, or symbolic data from source documents (paper or digital) into computer systems.
Verification & Correction: Cross-checking data against source documents to identify and fix errors, ensuring 100% accuracy.
Database Maintenance: Updating existing records with new information and deleting duplicate or obsolete data.
Information Gathering: Researching and collecting missing information to complete incomplete records.
Data Security: Adhering to strict privacy guidelines and security protocols to protect sensitive company or customer information.
Digital Filing: Scanning, printing, and organizing electronic files for easy retrieval.
2. Required Skills & Qualifications
Typing Proficiency: A minimum speed of 4050 Words Per Minute (WPM) with high accuracy is standard.
Attention to Detail: The ability to spot even minor discrepancies in large datasets.
Technical Savvy: Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables), Google Sheets, and basic knowledge of CRM/ERP software.
Confidentiality: Understanding the importance of data privacy laws (like GDPR or local data protection acts).
