Minimum Education:Bachelors Degree or Equivalent Experience

Recommended Tenure:7+ years in data platform engineering or architecture roles

(including 3+ years in a hands-on architecture role)

Role Summary:

TheData Architectwill design, implement, and manage scalable, reliable, and secure data

architectures that power analytics, integrations, and real-time processing across the

organization. As part of theData Platform team, this role collaborates closely withSolution

Architects, Data Engineers, and cross-functional stakeholdersto ensure that data models

and systems are aligned with business needs and enterprise architecture standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Architecture & Design:

Translate business and technical requirements into well-defineddata models and

architecture specifications.

Design and documentlogical and physical data models,data flow diagrams,

andintegration patterns.

Align data architecture withapplication design and system interaction patternsin

collaboration with Solution Architects.

Establish and maintainbest practices and design standardsfor relational, NoSQL,

and streaming data solutions.

Solution Delivery & Support:

Act as ahands-on architecture leadduring discovery, planning, and delivery phases

of data projects.

Guide data engineers in implementing solutions consistent with architecture

principles and project requirements.

Conductdesign and code reviewsto ensure solution quality, scalability, and

compliance.

Drive platform evolution by defining and enforcingreusable, modular, and scalable

architecture practices.

Data Governance & Quality:

Define and enforcebest practices for data modeling, data security, and

performance tuning.

Maintain consistency inmetadata, naming conventions, and data access

standardsacross environments.

Supportdata privacy, classification, and auditabilityrequirements across integrated

systems.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Partner withProduct Managers, Engineering Leads, DevOps, and Analytics teamsto

deliver end-to-end data solutions.

Collaborate withSolution Architectsto ensure cohesive design and delivery across

application and data domains.

Serve as asubject matter experton data structures, semantics, and lifecycle

management across key business areas.

Key Competencies & Skills:

Experience:7+ years in data engineering or data architecture roles, with at least 3

years in an architecture-focused position.

Cloud Platforms:Proven expertise inGCPand/orAzure, with deep understanding of

native data services.

Data Technologies:Strong understanding ofrelational, NoSQL, and object storage

paradigms.

Databases:Hands-on experience withOracleandPostgreSQL; proficiency

inPythonpreferred.

DevOps for Data:Familiarity withinfrastructure-as-code (IaC)andCI/CD

pipelinesfor data engineering.

Soft Skills:Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the

ability tolead through influence.

Work Ethic:Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple initiatives

simultaneously.
