A CSSD (Central Sterile Supply Department) Technician is responsible for ensuring that all medical instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and maintained to prevent the spread of infection.

Responsibilities:

1. Receive, inspect, and clean medical instruments and equipment.

2. Assemble instrument trays and packs for surgical procedures.

3. Operate autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners, and other sterilization equipment.

4. Perform sterility testing to ensure that sterilization has been effective.
