- Conduct eye examinations: Perform comprehensive eye exams to diagnose and treat various eye conditions and diseases.
- Perform eye surgeries: Carry out surgical procedures such as cataract surgeries, laser eye surgeries, and other eye surgeries as needed.
- Prescribe medications: Prescribe medications for eye conditions and diseases to manage and treat them effectively.
- Provide patient care: Offer exceptional patient care by listening to patients' concerns, explaining diagnoses and treatment plans, and addressing any questions or doubts they may have.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals: Work closely with optometrists, opticians, and other specialists to provide holistic care for patients with complex eye conditions.
Skills and Expectations:
- Must have a degree in Ophthalmology and a specialization in eye surgeries.
- Proficient in performing surgeries such as Phacoemulsification (Phaco) for cataracts.
- Strong understanding of various eye conditions, diseases, and their treatments.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with patients and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid license to practice as an Ophthalmologist in the respective location.
