CNC Turning Operator
Role Overview:
The CNC Turning Operator is responsible for operating CNC turning/lathe machines to produce precision components as per engineering drawings and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operate CNC turning/lathe machines safely and efficiently.
Load raw materials and set up tools, chucks, jaws, and fixtures.
Read engineering drawings and job cards.
Check dimensions using calipers, micrometers, vernier, and gauges.
Maintain tolerance, surface finish, and quality as per requirements.
Make minor tool offsets and parameter adjustments when needed.
Inspect first-piece and in-process parts.
Maintain machine cleanliness and basic daily maintenance.
Report deviations, tool wear, or machine issues to the supervisor.
Meet daily production targets and follow safety standards.
Skills & Requirements
ITI / Diploma (Fitter, Turner, Machinist).
13 years experience in CNC turning/lathe operation.
Ability to read mechanical drawings and use measuring instruments.
Basic knowledge of offsets, tool life, and machining processes.
Good attitude, attention to detail, and safety awareness.
