The CNC Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining computer-controlled (CNC) machines to produce precision metal, plastic, or composite components. The operator ensures parts meet specifications, maintains quality standards, and follows safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines such as lathes, mills, grinders, and routers.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
Input and adjust machine programs and parameters to achieve required specifications.
Monitor machine operations and ensure precision in dimensions, tolerances, and surface finishes.
Inspect finished parts using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure quality standards.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical issues to prevent downtime.
Maintain accurate production and maintenance records.
Follow all safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to improve processes and efficiency.
