Read blueprints: Interpret blueprints to determine the machining operations required

Set up machines: Prepare the machine for use, including calibrating it to the correct operating level

Program machines: Write programs using CAD software to tell the machine what to do

Perform machining operations: Use the machine to drill, mill, cut, bend, or perform other machining operations

Test and adjust: Run test runs to check the output, and make adjustments to improve the result

Measure and inspect: Use precision measuring instruments to verify the dimensions of the parts, and inspect the machines and work areas
