Job Title: Milling Operator

Purpose of the Position: To operate CNC milling machines and perform various tasks to produce high-quality parts according to specifications, contributing to the efficiency of the production process.

Duties and Responsibilities:

€¢ Set up and operate CNC milling machines.

€¢ Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to determine machine setup and production methods.

€¢ Inspect parts for defects and ensure conformance to specifications.

€¢ Adjust machine settings to maintain product quality and production efficiency.

€¢ Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

€¢ Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures.

€¢ Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.

€¢ Record production data and report any issues to the supervisor.

Essential Skills:

€¢ Experience with CNC milling machine operation.

€¢ Basic understanding of machining principles and practices.

€¢ Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.

€¢ Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Qualifications:

€¢ High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in machining preferred.

€¢ Previous experience as a milling operator or in a similar role.

€¢ Proficiency in working with Siemens controllers for CNC milling machines.

€¢ Familiarity with Harco controllers commonly used in milling operations.

Working Conditions:

€¢ Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and potential hazards associated with machinery operation.

€¢ May require standing for extended periods and handling of heavy materials.

Performance Expectations:

€¢ Produce parts that meet all quality standards in a timely manner.

€¢ Minimize machine downtime through effective operation and maintenance.

Reporting Structure: The Milling Operator will report to the Milling Supervisor or Production Manager.
