Role Overview
As a Cloud Architect, you will drive end-to-end cloud architecture and modernization initiatives while championing best practices in automation, security, scalability, and cost optimization. You will work closely with DevOps, platform, and engineering teams to deliver resilient and future-ready cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Architect and implement cloud-native, scalable solutions using microservices, containers (Docker, Kubernetes / AKS / EKS / GKE), serverless (Azure Functions, AWS Lambda), and event-driven architectures
Design and manage secure network architectures, including VNET peering, private endpoints, VPN, ExpressRoute / Direct Connect, NSGs, firewalls, and application gateways
Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Terraform, ARM, and CloudFormation
Implement and secure Identity & Access Management (IAM) solutions using Azure AD, AWS IAM, SSO, RBAC, Key Vault / Secrets Manager
Define and enforce cloud governance, cost management, and tagging strategies using Azure Policy, AWS Config, and related tools
Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives, including infrastructure assessment, migration planning, and execution of lift-and-shift and refactoring strategies
Automate monitoring, logging, and alerting using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch
Design and implement backup, disaster recovery, and geo-redundancy solutions using native cloud services
Troubleshoot complex distributed system, networking, security, and performance issues at scale
Document architectural decisions, create HLD/LLD, and provide technical mentorship to DevOps, platform, and engineering teams
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
8+ years of hands-on experience in cloud architecture and engineering
Proven expertise in designing multi-cloud and hybrid cloud environments
Strong experience across networking, security, identity, monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery
Cloud certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or AWS / GCP equivalent
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
