SITE CIVIL ENGINEER - Nashik

Key Responsibilities

1. Site Execution & Layout Setting

Mark layouts, centerlines, and column positions on-site using surveying equipment (such as Total Station, Auto Level) based on architectural and structural drawings.

Supervise daily civil operations, including excavation, reinforcement binding (shuttering/bar bending), concreting, brickwork, and finishing works.

Monitor concrete pouring activities, checking concrete grade, slump test values, and ensuring proper curing schedules.

2. Bar Bending Schedule (BBS) & Drawing Verification

Read, interpret, and cross-verify structural drawings (foundation, columns, beams, slabs) before execution.

Prepare and verify the Bar Bending Schedule (BBS) to ensure precise cutting and bending of steel reinforcement bars (Rebars), minimizing scrap and material wastage.

Identify any mismatch between architectural layouts and structural details early, escalating them to the design team.

3. Quality Control & Material Tracking

Conduct stage-wise inspections of reinforcement steel, formwork stability, and shuttering alignment before authorizing concrete casting.

Perform on-site quality testing for raw materials (such as compressive strength cubes for concrete, silt content in sand, and brick water absorption).

Maintain mandatory site registers, including Pour Cards, Concrete Cube Test Records, Handovers, and the Daily Progress Report (DPR).

4. Labor Optimization & Contractor Management

Allocate daily workloads to petty contractors, bar benders, masons, and labor crews to maximize on-site productivity.

Verify contractor measurement sheets and prepare interim running account (RA) bills based on actual physical progress achieved.
