key responsibilities
site management & supervision:
oversee all on-site construction activities, including civil, structural, and finishing works.
directly supervise and coordinate the work of subcontractors, labor, and site personnel.
ensure all work adheres strictly to engineering drawings, specifications, and project schedule.
quality control & assurance:
inspect and monitor the quality of materials delivered and work performed.
implement and maintain rigorous quality control (qc) procedures.
conduct regular site inspections to identify and resolve potential issues or non-conformities.
ensure proper testing and documentation of construction materials and processes.
safety & compliance:
enforce strict adherence to site health, safety, and environmental (hse) policies and regulations.
conduct daily safety briefings and tool-box talks.
identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to maintain a safe working environment.
ensure all site personnel are using appropriate personal protective equipment (ppe).
resource & time management:
monitor and manage the efficient utilization of construction materials, equipment, and labor.
assist in preparing daily/weekly work schedules and lookahead plans.
track and report on project progress against the established timeline.
minimize wastage of materials and resources.
communication & documentation:
serve as a primary point of contact between the project manager, engineers, labor, and subcontractors.
maintain accurate and detailed daily site records, progress reports, and logbooks.
document and report any delays, changes, or issues encountered on site.
assist in the preparation of as-built drawings and project close-out documentation.
