Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Child & Parent Counsellor to provide counselling services to students, parents, and families. The counsellor will support the emotional, social, behavioural, and academic well-being of children and adolescents, guide parents on effective parenting strategies, and contribute to fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual counselling sessions with students and parents
- Assess emotional, behavioural, social, and academic concerns and develop appropriate intervention plans
- Support students with challenges such as stress, anxiety, behavioural issues, self-esteem, and peer relationships
- Provide parent counselling and guidance on child development, behaviour management, and emotional well-being
- Develop and implement counselling programs and workshops
- Maintain accurate documentation while ensuring strict confidentiality and adherence to ethical standards
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Counselling, Psychology, or related field
- Verified Registered RCI
- Relevant certification (., LPC, LSW, NCDA)
- Experience working with children, adolescents or women
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to build trust and rapport with students and parents
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a school or educational setting
- Strong knowledge of child development and adolescent psychology
- Familiarity with international curricula and culturally diverse environments
- Training or certification in child psychology, family therapy, or behavioural therapy
