Key Responsibilities
Conduct laboratory experiments involving organic and inorganic chemical reactions, synthesis, purification, and characterization.
Perform preparation, handling, and analysis of chemical compounds and materials.
Develop and optimize synthetic procedures for organic and inorganic compounds.
Carry out qualitative and quantitative chemical analysis using appropriate laboratory techniques and instruments.
Characterize compounds using techniques such as FTIR, UV-Vis, NMR, GC, HPLC, ICP-OES/ICP-MS, XRD, and other analytical methods, as applicable.
Prepare chemical solutions, reagents, standards, and samples according to established procedures.
Record experimental observations, analytical results, calculations, and conclusions accurately.
Interpret experimental and analytical data and prepare technical reports.
Experience with organic synthesis, inorganic synthesis, purification, and crystallization techniques.
Knowledge of analytical instruments and characterization techniques.
Familiarity with laboratory information systems, electronic laboratory notebooks, or chemical databases.
Ability to interpret experimental data and prepare technical documentation.
Good laboratory safety awareness and chemical-handling practices.
Good communication, analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
