Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist cardiologists during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures: The Cath LAB Technician will work closely with cardiologists to prepare the patient for procedures, operate equipment, and provide necessary support during the process.
2. Operate and maintain imaging equipment: The technician will be responsible for operating complex imaging machines such as fluoroscopy systems and ensuring they are properly maintained and calibrated.
3. Monitor patient vital signs: It is essential for the technician to monitor the patient's vital signs throughout the procedure and respond promptly to any changes or emergencies.
4. Ensure the safety of patients and staff: The Cath LAB Technician must adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe environment for both patients and healthcare professionals.
5. Document and maintain records: Keeping accurate records of procedures, patient information, and equipment maintenance is a crucial aspect of the role to ensure proper documentation and compliance.
Required Skills and Expectations:
- Diploma in Radiologic Technology or related field
- Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
