Job Description:

As a Cashier, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth and efficient operations at our retail outlet. You will be responsible for processing transactions accurately, providing excellent customer service, and contributing to a positive shopping experience for our customers. This position requires individuals who are detail-oriented, trustworthy, and capable of handling financial transactions with integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

Cash Handling: Accurately process cash, credit card, and mobile payment transactions.

Customer Service: Provide friendly, efficient, and professional customer service at all times.

Point of Sale (POS) Operation: Operate the cash register and POS system with precision and efficiency.

Transaction Reconciliation: Ensure that all transactions balance at the end of each shift.

Price Verification: Verify prices and product codes to ensure accurate billing.

Bagging and Packaging: Properly bag and package customer purchases, taking care to prevent damage to products.

Returns and Exchanges: Process customer returns and exchanges in accordance with company policies.

Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the cashier area clean and organized.

Product Knowledge: Stay informed about current promotions, discounts, and product information.

Security: Follow security procedures to safeguard against theft and fraud.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous cashier or retail experience is preferred but not required.

Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Customer-focused with a friendly and approachable demeanor.

Ability to handle cash and transactions accurately.

Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS systems is a plus.

Reliable and punctual.

Must be eligible to work in Mauritius.
