Cargo Loader - Full Time - Freshers

A Cargo Loader safely and efficiently loads, unloads, and sorts freight, baggage, or mail from aircraft, trucks, and shipping containers. They work in fast-paced warehouses or airport environments, requiring heavy lifting, operation of specialized equipment, and adherence to safety protocols to prevent damage or delays.

Key Responsibilities

Loading and Unloading: Safely transfer cargo between vehicles, containers, and storage areas.

Sorting and Organizing: Sort items by destination, size, or weight and organize warehouse/flight storage areas.

Inspection and Documentation: Inspect cargo for damage, verify documentation (labels, manifests), and report discrepancies to supervisors.

Equipment Operation: Utilize tools like forklifts, conveyors, pallet jacks, or tugs to move heavy items.

Safety Adherence: Strictly follow all company and government safety regulations, including wearing protective gear, to ensure a safe, clean work environment.

Weight Distribution: For aircraft, compute or ensure correct weight and balance of cargo within cargo compartments.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy items frequently, often up to 75 pounds or more.

Education: Typically a minimum of 10th-12th grade completion.

Experience: Often entry-level (01 year), with on-the-job training, making it suitable for freshers.

Attributes: Strong attention to detail, teamwork, punctuality, and ability to follow instructions under time constraints.
