A Cargo Executive manages the end-to-end logistics operations, including accepting, storing, and loading cargo, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. They handle documentation like Air Waybills and customs clearance, track shipments, and coordinate with clients, ground staff, and airlines to ensure timely, secure, and accurate delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Handling: Supervise the receipt, loading, unloading, and storage of cargo in accordance with safety standards and aircraft limitations.
Documentation & Compliance: Prepare, check, and process cargo documents, such as manifests, invoices, and customs paperwork. Ensure compliance with security procedures and DGR (Dangerous Goods Regulations).
Coordination & Booking: Book cargo space on flights/transport, and communicate with freight forwarders, carriers, and internal teams.
Customer Service: Act as the primary contact for tracking shipments, handling queries, and addressing issues regarding damaged or delayed goods.
Inventory & Tracking: Monitor cargo movement using software, maintain accurate inventory records, and update clients on shipment status.
Key Requirements
Experience: 0-3 years in air cargo, airport services, or logistics.
Skills: Knowledge of cargo handling software, strong communication skills, and knowledge of airport/freight regulations.
