They ensure safety compliance, operate handling equipment, and provide customer service in logistics terminals. The role involves working in fast-paced environments, often in shifts.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
Cargo Handling: Loading/unloading cargo and baggage from aircraft, trucks, or trailers.
Documentation: Reviewing, preparing, and verifying cargo documents such as bills of lading, customs declarations, and shipping manifests.
Operational Safety: Maintaining safety, security, and operational standards, including compliance with Dangerous Goods protocols.
Warehouse Operations: Storing and sorting cargo within the warehouse, including break-bulk and build-up of pallets/containers.
Equipment Operation: Using cargo handling equipment such as forklifts, conveyors, and baggage trucks.
Coordination: Liaising with customs officials, customers, and freight forwarders to track, report, and trace lost or damaged packages

Physical Stamina: Ability to handle lifting and working in varied weather conditions.
Attention to Detail: Ensuring accurate documentation and proper cargo segregation.
