We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Business Development Professional with strong exposure to the Railways & Metro sector. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience working with major Metro Corporations, Rolling Stock Manufacturers, Consultants, and EPC contractors, and possess the ability to convert opportunities into confirmed sales bookings.
However, for our current needs, we're specifically looking for a profile with core experience in metro projects-such as work with DMRC, L&T, KEC, Alstom-or someone with substantial rolling stock exposure, ideally having handled accounts like Alstom, ICF, RCF, MCF, Medha, and so on.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and develop new business opportunities in the Railways & Metro segment.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including:
Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC)
Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL)
Hyderabad Metro Rail
Chennai Metro Rail Limited
Work closely with leading EPC & infrastructure companies such as:
Larsen & Toubro (L&T)
Alstom
KEC International
ABB
Siemens
Develop strong engagement with Rolling Stock manufacturers including:
Bombardier Transportation
Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW)
Integral Coach Factory (ICF)
Rail Coach Factory (RCF)
Modern Coach Factory (MCF)
Generate leads, track tenders, manage bidding processes, and convert opportunities into confirmed orders.
Coordinate with consultants and EPC partners for technical discussions and proposal submissions.
Prepare techno-commercial proposals and presentations.
Monitor competitor activities and market intelligence.
Travel frequently across assigned territories to meet clients and drive business growth.
Desired Candidate Profile
7-10 years of experience in Business Development within Railways/Metro projects.
Strong network and contacts with Metro Corporations, Consultants, and EPC contractors.
Proven ability to convert leads into sales bookings.
Exposure to rolling stock, rail electrification, signaling, or metro infrastructure projects preferred.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in CRM tools, Power BI, MS Office, and presentation software.
Willingness to travel extensively.
