- Conduct blood typing and compatibility testing: Perform ABO and Rh typing, as well as cross-matching tests to ensure compatibility of blood products for transfusion.
- Maintain blood inventory: Monitor and replenish blood supply, keeping track of expiration dates and ensuring proper storage conditions.
- Follow safety protocols: Adhere to standard operating procedures, safety guidelines, and infection control practices to ensure a safe environment for donors and staff.
- Assist in donor recruitment and education: Educate potential donors on the importance of blood donation, assist in recruitment efforts, and provide support throughout the donation process.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure timely delivery of blood products and accurate patient care.
