Junior Bioinformatics Analyst- Analyze and interpret biological and genomic datasets using bioinformatics tools and computational methods.
Perform sequence analysis, genome annotation, variant analysis, and gene expression analysis.
Develop and execute bioinformatics workflows and pipelines for processing biological data.
Use programming languages such as Python, R, or Bash for data analysis and automation.
Work with databases and tools such as NCBI, BLAST, UniProt, Ensembl, and other biological resources.
Perform statistical analysis and data visualization to identify meaningful biological patterns.
Maintain accurate documentation of analyses, workflows, and results.
Collaborate with biologists, data scientists, researchers, and laboratory teams.
Stay updated with emerging bioinformatics methods, software, and computational approaches.
Required Skills
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or a related field.
Basic understanding of molecular biology, genetics, genomics, and biological data analysis.
Knowledge of Python and/or R; familiarity with Linux/Bash is an advantage.
Familiarity with bioinformatics databases, sequence-analysis tools, and genomic datasets.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to learn new computational tools and biological concepts quickly.
