• Conduct comprehensive hearing assessments for children and adults.

• Perform pure-tone, speech and impedance audiometry tests.

• Evaluate tinnitus, auditory-processing and balance-related conditions.

• Interpret diagnostic results and prepare detailed clinical reports.

• Diagnose the type and degree of hearing loss within the authorised scope of practice.

• Recommend, fit and programme hearing aids and other assistive listening devices.

• Take ear impressions and coordinate the preparation of earmoulds.

• Provide hearing-aid trials, adjustments, maintenance and follow-up care.

• Conduct newborn and paediatric hearing-screening programmes.

• Develop individual hearing-rehabilitation and communication plans.

• Counsel patients and families regarding hearing loss and treatment options.

• Educate patients about hearing conservation and noise protection.

• Refer patients to ENT specialists or other healthcare professionals when required.

• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.

• Clean, calibrate and maintain audiological equipment.

• Follow infection-control, patient-safety and professional standards.

• Coordinate with ENT doctors, speech therapists, teachers and rehabilitation teams.

• Participate in community hearing-screening and awareness programmes.
