- Assist anaesthesiologists in administering anesthesia to patients: You will work alongside anaesthesiologists to help prepare patients for anesthesia administration, monitor their vital signs during procedures, and ensure they are comfortable and safe.
- Maintain and set up anesthesia equipment: You will be responsible for ensuring all anesthesia equipment is properly cleaned, maintained, and set up for procedures. This includes checking the functioning of machines like ventilators, monitoring devices, and gas delivery systems.
- Prepare medications and supplies for anesthesia procedures: You will assist in preparing and administering medications for patients undergoing anesthesia, ensuring the correct dosages are given and monitoring patients' responses to medication.
- Monitor patients during and after anesthesia: You will be tasked with continuously monitoring patients' vital signs, oxygen levels, and responses to anesthesia during procedures. Additionally, you will provide post-anesthesia care including monitoring recovery and assisting with pain management.
- Assist with patient positioning and preparation: You will help position patients for procedures, ensure they are comfortable and properly draped, and assist in transferring them to and from the operating room.
Skills and Expectations:
- Diploma in Anaesthesia Technology or related field required.
- 1-7 years of experience working as an Anaesthesia Technician.
- Strong understanding of anesthesia equipment and procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced medical environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols and guidelines.
