The primary duties and responsibilities of an Air Cargo Handler include:
Load and unload cargo from aircraft, using equipment such as forklifts and conveyor belts
Ensure accurate placement and secure cargo in aircraft, following specific loading instructions
Inspect and verify cargo for damage or discrepancies in weight or quantity
Stack cargo in specific locations, considering factors such as size, weight, and available space
Maintain records of cargo, including details of its arrival, departure, and any transfers
Operate equipment, such as cargo and belt loaders, tugs, and forklifts, to move cargo to and from aircraft
Coordinate with ground crew, pilots, and air traffic control to ensure smooth operations
Follow safety protocols to handle hazardous materials or items
Ensure cleanliness and organization of the cargo area
