As an Airplane Cargo Loader, you will be primarily responsible for loading and unloading cargo on and off aircraft. This role involves physical labor, working in various weather conditions, and ensuring the safety and integrity of the cargo.

Air Cargo Handler Duties and Responsibilities

Air Cargo Handlers are responsible for the loading, unloading, and transfer of cargo and baggage on aircraft.

They perform a variety of tasks related to ensuring that all cargo is handled correctly and transported safely.

The primary duties and responsibilities of an Air Cargo Handler include:

Load and unload cargo from aircraft, using equipment such as forklifts and conveyor belts

Ensure accurate placement and secure cargo in aircraft, following specific loading instructions

Inspect and verify cargo for damage or discrepancies in weight or quantity

Stack cargo in specific locations, considering factors such as size, weight, and available space

Maintain records of cargo, including details of its arrival, departure, and any transfers

Operate equipment, such as cargo and belt loaders, tugs, and forklifts, to move cargo to and from aircraft

Coordinate with ground crew, pilots, and air traffic control to ensure smooth operations

Follow safety protocols to handle hazardous materials or items

Ensure cleanliness and organization of the cargo area
