Core Responsibilities
Loading/Unloading: Manually lifting and moving luggage and cargo into/out of aircraft cargo holds.
Equipment Operation: Operating machinery such as conveyors, baggage tugs, and forklifts to move items safely between terminals and planes.
Securing Freight: Ensuring cargo is organized and locked in place, often using straps or nets to prevent movement during flight.
Safety Compliance: Adhering strictly to airline, government, and airport safety protocols (including handling hazardous materials).
Weight & Balance: Assisting with distributing cargo weight evenly within the aircraft according to a prepared loading plan.
Inspecting Cargo: Checking shipments for damage and reporting issues to supervisors.
Documentation: Updating records of cargo movements to track shipments
