Job Description

Aircraft Maintenance professionals are responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining aircraft systems to ensure safety, airworthiness, and compliance with aviation regulations. They work on airframes, engines, electrical systems, and avionics.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

1. Inspection & Maintenance

Conduct routine inspections before and after flights

Perform scheduled maintenance (A-check, B-check, C-check, D-check)

Diagnose mechanical and technical faults

2. Repair & Troubleshooting

Repair or replace defective aircraft components

Troubleshoot engine, hydraulic, and electrical issues

Use diagnostic tools and maintenance manuals

3. Testing & Quality Control

Test aircraft systems after maintenance

Ensure all systems meet safety standards

Perform functional and operational checks

4. Documentation

Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records

Ensure compliance with aviation authorities

Report defects and corrective actions

5. Safety Compliance

Follow strict aviation safety regulations

Use proper tools and protective equipment

Ensure aircraft meets airworthiness standards

Line Maintenance - Routine checks at airports

Base Maintenance - Major repairs in hangars

Preventive Maintenance - Scheduled servicing

Corrective Maintenance - Fixing faults/issues

🎓 Education & Qualifications

Diploma/Degree in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering or Aerospace Engineering

Certification from aviation authorities like:

DGCA India

FAA

EASA

AME License (mandatory for certifying engineers)
