key responsibilities:

loading and unloading:

handling cargo, including loading and unloading from aircraft, vehicles, and storage areas.

sorting and storage:

organizing cargo, including sorting and placing items on racks, shelves, or designated areas based on destination or other criteria.

cargo preparation:

preparing cargo for shipment by building pallets, securing loads, and ensuring proper packaging and labeling.

documentation:

ensuring accurate completion of paperwork related to cargo shipments, such as air waybills, bills of lading, and manifests.

equipment operation:

operating forklifts, dollies, and other equipment to move and handle cargo.

safety and security:

maintaining a safe and secure work environment by adhering to safety regulations, company policies, and security protocols.

compliance:

ensuring compliance with dangerous goods regulations, import/export regulations, and other relevant rules.

communication:

communicating effectively with team members, supervisors, and other relevant parties regarding cargo status, issues, or discrepancies.
