job description: admission counselor

purpose  under general direction, provides counselling in the areas of admissions, academics, student

services, program selection and career planning related counselling, will be part of admission

team.

key roles & responsibilities:  counsel students & working professionals for our various distance education programs.  handling counselling via multiple channels including telephone calls, chats, emails and social. in

addition, assist in the conversion process of leads generated from different sources, to

prospective admission seekers for the courses offered by nmims global access.  generate leads for admission, follow-ups for admissions & closure.  develop and maintain a positive working relationship with the student/ working professionals.  arrange meetings with relevant people in medium and large-scale companies to arrange

seminars and pitch our management programs for their employees.  delivery of sales targets in performance driven competitive environment.  maintaining mis of all student queries and status update of action taken thereon.  handling walk-ins & counselling, new registrations/re-registration.  managing the data in our own software.  coordinating with ics and students for all admission related documents

professional skills required:  good english language ability.  good english communication skills.  ability to speak clearly and articulately.  patience  ability to manage complaint calls with a calm disposition  should be able to convert the inquiries into admissions  candidates with innovative approach and excellence in career counselling.  maintaining regular communication with the students for coordinating admission activities
