Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and plans to estimate the amount of labor and materialsrequired for concrete construction projects. Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of carpenters, form builders, concrete workers, andskilled trades for each project. Oversee all activities pertaining to concrete preparation, placement, installation, finishing, and curing. Resolve all problems that may affect project quality and completion including inspecting concrete afterthe formwork and shoring has been removed determining how to correct defects and concreteroughness Ensure that concrete structures are accurately placed and installed according to blueprints, drawings,and plans. Ensure that formwork and shoring are erected, supported, and dismantled based on engineeringdesigns and drawings. Maintain accurate records of the resources used for each project, including but not limited to thenumber of hours worked and amount of materials used for each project.Education & Experience Required: High school diploma or GED or equivalent. Good English reading and writing ability Post-secondary education in construction management or construction science is an asset. 2-3 years proven experience as a General Foreman.
