Key Responsibilities1. Design & DevelopmentDesign electrical circuits, systems, panels, and components aligned with project requirements.Prepare electrical drawings, schematics, single-line diagrams (SLD), and technical specifications.Conduct feasibility studies and electrical load calculations for projects.Develop cost estimates, project proposals, and equipment selection reports.2. Installation, Testing & CommissioningSupervise installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment.Ensure correct functioning of power distribution, lighting, control systems, and machinery.Perform functional tests, measurement, calibration, and performance validation.3. Maintenance & TroubleshootingConduct preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure continuity.Diagnose electrical faults and ensure timely resolution adhering to safety standards.Monitor equipment performance and implement improvement measures for system efficiency.4. Safety & ComplianceEnsure compliance with industry standards (IEC/IEEE/NEC/IS) and electrical safety regulations.Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and ensure safe working practices.Prepare documentation for inspections, permits, and regulatory approvals.5. The engineer performs cost estimations for control panel projects. They analyze the design specifications, component costs, labor hours, manufacturing processes, and other relevant factors to provide accurate cost estimates for the project.4. The engineer prepares a comprehensive bill of materials (BOM) that lists all the components required for the control panel.5. The engineer seeks opportunities for continuous improvement in panel design, manufacturing processes, and cost optimization.6.
