The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of welding activities during shutdown operations. As a Welding Inspector, you will inspect and monitor welding procedures, review welding reports, and ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications. Your expertise will be critical in identifying potential issues and ensuring the highest level of workmanship is achieved.Responsibilities:Perform visual inspections of welded joints, checking for conformity to codes, standards, and drawings.Conduct welder qualification tests and ensure compliance with welding procedures.Review welding procedures, records, and reports.Monitor and verify welding activities during shutdown operations.Coordinate with the project team to ensure timely and accurate completion of welding tasks.Ensure welding work meets safety and quality standards.Prepare inspection reports and documentation as required.Requirements:CSWIP 3.1 certification is a must; CSWIP 3.2 certification is preferred.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in shutdown activities and welding inspection.In-depth knowledge of welding techniques, codes, and industry standards.

Welding Inspector or Qc inspector or piping inspectorB.E/B.tech in Mechanical Engineering in a respective inspection discipline with at least four (4) years of experience in relevant inspection discipline.ORDiploma plus a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant inspection experience.Experience in oil and gas or refinery or petrochemical or powerplant .Holds a valid international certification as a welding inspector in CSWIP 3.1.

The QC supervisors/ inspectors for mechanical/marine Engineering section shall be able to undertake following:-(i) Overseeing of defect rectification of main engines and associated controlpanels.(ii) Inspection of Machinery components such as pistons, crankshaft, valves,piston rings, component casting etc during various stages of machinery overhaul.(iii) Trials of engineering machinery such as compressors, diesel engines,DAs, pumps, HP compressor, ACs etc as per laid down documents/drawings.(iv) Pressure testing, jigging and erection of pipes and valves.(v) Checking alignments and clearances between two mating components.(vi) Undertaking measurements of various mechanical components usingmechanical precision measuring equipments like calipers, screw gauges,micrometers dial gauges etc.(vii) Undertake Dimensional measurements at all stages of repair/manufacturing.(viii) Inspections of various NDT techniques such as Radiography, Ultrasoundetc applicable for engineering repairs and production methodology.(ix) Gauging of various components of Engineering equipment.(x) Chemical cleaning & proof testing (Pressure/ vacuum testing).(xi) Visuals Inspections during assembling / Fitments.(xii) Alignment checks of Engine and DAs.(xiii) In House / Onboard trials (Harbour Acceptance Trials) of equipment /machinery.

Review pending Material Discrepancy Reports (MDRs) in SAP, reviewclarifications from suppliers and provide acceptance/rejection ofmaterials. Perform Supplier performance analysis based on quality aspects withReceiving Inspection data and prepare analysis reports, providing inputson key improvement areas for suppliers and others. Review QA/QC Final Dossier documents (Quality plan, Inspection & Testplan, QA/QC procedure, WPS, Welder qualification record, OperatingProcedures, Method Statements etc.) related to new equipment andmaterials being procured.
