Position SummaryThe person in this role will be responsible for the visual quality of shots for the animated film. They will be responsible for creating seamlessness in and between shots.Essential Job Responsibilities Integrating 2D and 3D elements of a shot while balancing the creative and technical side of each component,Paint fixes, rotoscoping, chroma keying, color and grading continuity, graining/degraining images, production mapping, matte extractionStitching plates (live-action footage) together,Working with blue/green screen effects, creating mattes,Enhancing lighting effects and creating convincing shadows within a shotKnowledge of the animation production pipelineMinimum Position QualificationsAble to learn quickly, adapt to new technologies, and different work methodologies,Extensive experience working with node-based compositing systems, Should have experience working on After Effects.Strong understanding of photographic principles and CG compositing techniques,Proven experience working on high-end projects within a film post-production environmentExcellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a teamExperience working on stereoscopic projects, either stereoscopic compositing or conversion of monoscope footage to stereo (advantageous but not essential)

Achieve simple to complex compositing tasks at all stages of the production process including pre-comps, temp composites, 2D tracking, 2D effects, extractions, selection and integration of elements, and color gradingProduce high level photorealistic images and create seamless transitions between filmed footage and composited 2D and 3D elements;Work with the visual effects supervisor and the compositing supervisor to determine creative and technical approaches.Deliver work within established project targets and the high quality standards of the company.Experience in compositing photorealistic images of high-quality and skills to create a smooth transition between shooting plans and 2D/3D elements.A strong sense of compositing, color and design, and a thorough knowledge of the film industry and color.Extensive knowledge of extraction techniques of bluescreen and greenscreen.Achieve simple to complex compositing tasks at all stages of the production process including pre-comps, tracking, Matte extractions, selection and integration of elements and multi layered Z depth comp.Produce high level photorealistic images and create seamless transitions between filmed footage and composited 2D and 3D elements.Work with the visual effects supervisor and the compositing supervisor to know the what client needs.Creatively combine all the elements into the final image, ensuring that the established style of the project is respected and continuity is maintained.Extensive knowledge of extraction techniques of bluescreen and greenscreen /Grainmanagement.Deliver work within established project targets and the high quality standards of the company.
