Mechanical Design Engineer JDRole: Mechanical Design EngineerLocation: [Mumbai]Experience: 2-5 yearsQualification: BE/B.Tech in Mechanical EngineeringKey Responsibilities:- Design and develop riveting machines, rotary indexing tables, and assembly automation solutions- Create 2D and 3D models using SolidWorks/AutoCAD- Collaborate with teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability- Conduct design reviews and testing- Prepare design documentation and BOMsRequired Skills:- Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles- Proficiency in SolidWorks/AutoCAD- Experience with machinery design and automation- Good problem-solving and communication skillsPreferred:- Experience in manufacturing or automation industry- Knowledge of industry standards (e.g., ISO, ASME)Salary: 3-6 LPA

Able to read and draw CAD drawings. Knowledge of 3D drawings additional advantage. Supervising fabrication work.Handling clients.

-Fabricate sheet metal components as per engineering drawings and specifications.-Operate fabrication machines such as:-Shearing machines-Press brakes-Power presses-Punching and notching tools-Perform welding tasks (MIG, TIG, or spot welding) for enclosures and support structures.-Carry out grinding, drilling, tapping, and finishing processes on fabricated parts.-Assemble metal enclosures, brackets, and frames used in electrical panels and UPS systems.-Ensure dimensional accuracy and finish quality of fabricated parts.-Maintain cleanliness, order, and safety in the fabrication area.-Follow all safety protocols and use appropriate PPE.-Assist in basic maintenance and setup of fabrication machinery.

Knowledge of production process. Read and interpret design. Assist Senior/Manager to meet production deadline.

Mechanical Design Lead with Expertise in Autocad and Solidworks.- Previous relevant designing experience in process equipment/ Industrial Equipment- Relevant experience in managing team of designers- Proficient communicator. Should be able to co-ordinate with vendors, customers and manufacturing team- Exposure/ experience in designing industrial furnaces/ heat exchangers/ recuperators/ air preheaters/ Industrial Ovens or similar equipment would be an added advantage.
