We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Optometrist to join our team in Chennai. As an Optometrist, your primary responsibility will be to provide comprehensive eye care services to our patients.Key Responsibilities:- Conduct Eye Exams: Perform thorough assessments of patients' vision and eye health, using specialized equipment and tests to evaluate their eyesight.- Prescribe Eyewear: Based on eye exams, recommend and prescribe glasses or contact lenses to correct vision problems.- Diagnose Eye Conditions: Identify and evaluate common eye diseases and disorders, providing appropriate referrals or treatments as needed.- Educate Patients: Offer guidance to patients on eye care, vision improvement, and the proper use of eyewear, ensuring they understand their eye health.- Maintain Records: Keep detailed and accurate patient records and ensure all relevant documentation is up to date for follow-ups and insurance purposes.- Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care and discuss any unusual findings.Required Skills and Expectations:Candidates should have a background in fields like BDS, B.Pharma, B.Sc, B.E, or BVSC. Strong communication skills are essential to interact effectively with patients and staff. Attention to detail and the ability to work accurately are crucial for diagnosing conditions and prescribing appropriate treatment.
