Prepare invoices and quotations. Candidates with steel fabrication experience also can apply and they will be trained for dry dock jobs, Starting salary US $.2000 to 2500 as per qualification and experience. Diploma holders with longer experience also can apply. Accommodation, to and fro flight tickets, car with driver, steward and local living allowance will be provided. They are committed to operational excellence, safety, and investing in their people. Job Summary:The Technical Superintendent will be responsible for the efficient and safe technical management of a designated fleet of tanker vessels, ensuring optimal operational performance, compliance with international regulations, class requirements, and company policies. This role demands a proactive approach to maintenance, strong leadership skills, and the ability to effectively manage budgets and resources. The ideal candidate will leverage their extensive Chief Engineer experience on tankers to drive continuous improvement in vessel performance and reliability.Key Responsibilities:Vessel Performance & Maintenance:Oversee the day-to-day technical operations and maintenance of assigned tanker vessels.Monitor vessel performance, fuel consumption, and machinery health, implementing corrective actions as required.Develop, implement, and monitor planned maintenance systems (PMS) to ensure optimal asset utilization and prevent breakdowns.Review and approve requisitions for spare parts, stores, and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.Manage dry-dockings, special surveys, and major repairs, ensuring timely completion within budget and to specified standards.Budget Management:Prepare and manage vessel operating budgets (OPEX) for technical expenditures.Monitor actual expenditure against budget, providing variance analysis and implementing cost control measures.Negotiate with suppliers and service providers to secure favorable terms while maintaining quality standards.Compliance & Regulations:Ensure assigned vessels comply with international maritime regulations (e.g., SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW, MLC), flag state requirements, class rules, and company Safety Management System (SMS).Prepare vessels for statutory surveys, class surveys, vetting inspections (e.g., SIRE), and Port State Control (PSC) inspections.Address deficiencies and observations promptly and effectively.Team Leadership & Support:Provide technical guidance and support to shipboard personnel (Master, Chief Engineer, Officers, Ratings).Conduct vessel visits to assess technical condition, crew competency, and ensure adherence to company procedures.Participate in the selection, appraisal, and training of shipboard technical staff.Foster a strong safety culture and promote best practices among the crew.Reporting & Communication:Generate regular technical reports on vessel performance, maintenance status, and budget utilization.Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders (operations, crewing, purchasing) and external parties (class, flag, suppliers, owners).Actively participate in departmental meetings and contribute to strategic planning.Incident Management:Participate in and lead investigations of technical incidents, breakdowns, and machinery failures.Identify root causes and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.Eligibility Criteria:Education & Certification:Hold a valid Chief Engineer CoC (Class 1 Marine Engineer Officer).Sailing Experience:Minimum of 12 months (cumulative) of sailing experience as a Chief Engineer on tanker vessels (oil, chemical, or gas tankers are preferred).Shore Experience (Advantageous):Candidates with 1-2 years of shore-based experience as a Technical Superintendent specifically managing tankers will be given preference.Thanks and regards,Gurdeep SinghSingh Business Services
