Veterinary assistant job description:1. Handling the pet and animal in the most comfortable and gentle way for all medical, hospitalization and teaching purpose.2. Monitoring the pet for vitals, record keeping, ongoing medical, hospitalized, and surgical care under the supervision of a vet technician or veterinarian.3. Nursing of pets for walking, appropriate feeding, water, urination, defecation, comforting, physiotherapy, cage cleaning, and grooming.4. Receiving the client with a professional approach, record keeping vitals, weight, preparation of consult room, assisting in consult and diagnostics in coordination with attending vet, reminder or appointments for the patient, admission of pet, maintaining the protocols and consents and closure of consult.5. Be a help to the client for complete closure of communication and discharge of patients, ascertaining the complete satisfaction of the client in all aspects.6. Be an integral part of drug administration, infusion, fluid therapy, radiology, other lab and diagnostics, procedures, bandaging and treatment with accurate protocols under the complete supervision of a vet.7. Record keeping of services, monitoring, nursing, and communication with details for verification with the vet.8. Maintaining a professional appearance, gestures and carrying high conduct with clients and animals.9. Being responsible for all instruments, and resources around and taking utmost pride to maintain it the best usable way.10. Obtaining all consents for admission, surgery, procedures, diagnostics, assisting pet parent with clarity of invoice and estimate for same.11. Communication with pet parents for admission, treatment, discharge, and client concerns as it arrives.12. Maintaining all the small to large instruments with a complete clear system
