Accountant is responsible for managing and analyzing financial information and ensuring that financial records are accurate and compliant with relevant laws and regulations. This role involves preparing financial reports, conducting audits, reconciling accounts, and providing financial advice to management.Key Responsibilities:Financial Reporting:Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Generate management reports and financial summaries.Accounts Management:Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.Process accounts payable and receivable.Prepare and post journal entries.Budgeting and Forecasting:Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.Monitor budget variances and report significant issues.Compliance and Audits:Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and relevant regulations.Coordinate and support internal and external audits.Taxation:Prepare tax returns and ensure timely filing.Stay updated on tax regulations and advise management on tax-related matters.Financial Analysis:Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.Provide insights and recommendations to management based on financial analysis.Other Duties:Maintain accurate and organized financial records.Participate in financial planning and strategy development.Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned.

Job role :Maintain and track all costs related to construction projects. Review contractors' bills for accuracy and completeness, and approve payment requests. Process invoices, requisitions, and purchase orders. Review, approve, and process payroll, expense reports, and time cards.

ResponsibilitiesVerify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivableProduce error-free accounting reports and present their resultsAnalyze financial information and summarize financial statusSpot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spendingProvide technical support and advice on Management AccountantReview and recommend modifications to accounting systems and proceduresManage accounting assistants and bookkeepersParticipate in financial standards setting and in forecast processProvide input into departments goal setting processPrepare financial statements and produce budget according to scheduleAssist with tax audits and tax returnsDirect internal and external audits to ensure compliancePlan, assign and review staffs workSupport month-end and year-end close processDevelop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controlsEnsure compliance with GAAP principlesLiaise with our Financial Manager and Accounting Manager to improve financial proceduresRequirements and skillsProven experience as a Financial Controller, Accounting Supervisor, chief or senior accountantThorough knowledge of basic accounting proceduresIn-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Awareness of business trendsFamiliarity with financial accounting statementsExperience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close processHands-on experience with accounting software packages, like FreshBooks and QuickBooksAdvanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tablesAccuracy and attention to detailAptitude for numbers and quantitative skillsBS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevantRelevant certification (e.g. CMA or CPA) will be preferred
