tasks and duties of the Plant QA/QC Engineer includes (but not limited) tothe following: He shall undertake evaluation, calculation to provide competenttechnical reviews, audits and advise for any matter pertaining toQA/QC inspection activities Reviews Purchase Requisitions (PR) initiated by End Users for thepressure retaining equipment, parts and spares. The PR is to bechecked for correctness of PR description, completeness of PR withreference to the drawings, specifications & codes as applicable. Evaluates technical bids for the pressure retaining equipment andallied activities and provide comments/report as applicable. Prepares and maintain a systematic record of review comments onPRs and Technical Bid Evaluations, for proper documentation and easyretrieval. Provides assistance for QA/QC matters related to procurement ofmaterials and equipment. Prepares Inspection Report (when required), and communicate anyissues related to the reports. Knowledge of general computerprograms of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook etc. is a must for day to day working. Working knowledge of SAP as enduser is preferred. Job may also involve Internet surfing to gather anyrequired technical information. Maintains confidentiality of job related to data and documents as perthe requirements & procedures of the COMPANY. Reviews and comment on vendors QA/QC documentation related tomaterials, equipment, fabrication. Assists in the preparation of Scope of Work, Contracts and PurchaseOrders from Quality/Certification and final documentationstandpoints. Conducts evaluation of Contractor and Subcontractor and providerecommendation. Reviews and comment on the Contractors documents (Quality plan,Inspection & Test plan, QA/QC procedure, WPS, Welder qualificationrecord, Operating Procedures, Method Statements etc.) related tomodification, repair or maintenance projects. Prepare QA/QC Procedures and documents as required forrepairs/modification

The tasks and duties of the Projects QA/QC Engineer includes (but notlimited) to the following:The QA/QC Engineer shall be assigned as a quality focal point, interfacingwith Qatargas stakeholders and contractors to ensure QA/QC compliance,with extensive involvement in brownfield and greenfield projects, and in-service modifications to existing facilities together with maintenance andshutdown activities. This role is responsible for procurement qualityassurance and quality control, including coordination of third-party source-inspection activities. Understand and promote the Qatargas (Quality Assurance)requirements and supporting compliance procedure expectations. Establish and support proactive and collaborative workingrelationships with contractors and applicable third-partyorganisations. Review project scopes of work to determine the nature, extent andfrequency of quality verification activities. Coordinate the regular progress and performance related internalquality team meetings. Review contractor/ supplier quality deliverables for conformance toQatargas quality requirements and expectations (I.E. PQP, PEP, ITP,Criticality Rating assessments and QA/QC procedures). Chair Pre-Inspection Meetings to ensure that the qualityrequirements and expectations are fully understood andimplemented prior to commencement of work activities. Lead and participate in assigned quality verification activities. Coordinate site and workshop inspection activities and assignadequate Qatargas inspection resources to effectively measureconformance to requirements. Coordinate the assignment of third-party source inspectors torepresent Qatargas at offsite manufacturing/ service facilities. Coordinate source inspection activities for materials requiringoverseas inspection. Conduct External quality audits on Contractors to gauge theeffectiveness of the quality management system.
