As a CT Scan Technician, you will play an essential role in conducting high-quality imaging tests that assist in diagnosing medical conditions. Your responsibilities will include:- **Operating CT Scanners**: You will safely and effectively use CT machines to capture detailed images of patients internal structures for diagnostics.- **Patient Preparation**: You will prepare patients for scans by explaining the procedure, ensuring they understand what to expect, and positioning them correctly on the table.- **Image Quality Assurance**: You are responsible for monitoring image quality during scans and making adjustments as necessary to obtain clear and accurate results.- **Data Entry and Record Keeping**: You will enter patient information and scan results into electronic medical records, ensuring all data is accurate and securely stored.- **Collaboration with Medical Staff**: You will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to discuss imaging techniques and results for optimal patient care.- **Maintaining Equipment**: Regular maintenance and cleaning of CT scanning equipment to ensure it is operating safely and effectively is part of your routine duties.To succeed in this role, you should have a strong understanding of CT technology and safety protocols. A valid certification in radiologic technology is required. You must possess excellent communication skills to explain procedures to patients and collaborate with medical teams. Attention to detail and the ability to handle stressful situations professionally are also important. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role is expected.
