What you can expect as our next Mold Maker (Plastics/Automotive):Manufacture tooling / injection molds as per internal specifications and engineering standardsManufacture all other tooling / fixtures as directed or requiredResponsible to ensure quality, reliability, maintainability and durability of tooling which meets or exceeds both internal and external customer requirements as directedManage all project expectations and for a specific tooling projectEnsure all team members understand the project scope / approach and requirementsEnsure efficient manufacturing , tooling approach and effective tool build to timeline objectives and project requirementsReview mold designs and performs appropriate DFM ( Design for Manufacturability) assessments and feedback to the team as requiredSchedule all tasks for tool build as requiredPerform preventive maintenance / work orders as requiredPerform repairs / tooling assessments as requiredComplete work order and inspection records & maintain records as per company policyMaintain compliance with the quality assurance manualPerform mold maintenance activityReview the Non-conformance Report and assists quality committee to implement corrective and preventive actionsKeep work area and equipment clean and orderly and/or follows all safety rulesFollow inspection methods and work instructions, and company policies and procedures as requiredAre you our next Mold Maker (Plastics/Automotive)?-Completion of post-secondary education/certification as a licensed toolmaker/Mold Maker or related educational background-5+ years experience as a skilled Mold Maker-Must possess a Team mind set and have a collaborative approach to the projects-Knowledge and understanding of tooling drawings/ specifications and engineering standards-Strong written and verbal communication-Strong attention to detail-Additional skills/specialization- CNC/EDM is an asset-Experience in the Automotive Industry is a HUGE asset!

Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables or study sampleparts to determine machining operation to be performed, and plan best sequence ofoperations Compute dimensions and tolerances and measure and lay out work pieces Set up, operate and maintain complex machining operations and machine toolsincluding Conventional and CNC cylindrical grinding machines to perform precisiongrinding including to grind internal as well as external diameters to produce endmills,ball mill and drill tools etc., Fit and assemble machined metal parts and subassemblies using hand and power tools Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications usingprecision measuring instruments May set up and program machine tools for use by machining tool OperatorSKILLS / EMPLOYER REQUIREMENTS/ EDUCATION: Cylindrical grinding machine operator both conventional and CNC Above average math and problem-solving skills as well as ability to use basictrigonometry to calculate angles Previous experience operating CNC grinding equipment such as: Studers, TOS grinderspreferred. High school level (Secondary school) is mandatory and any diploma, degree, or tradecertificates are advantagesExperience: Minimum 5 years of experienceSalary: CAD 52000 62000 per year ($25 per hour)
