As a Business Development Associate, you'll play a crucial role in the initial stages of our sales cycle. You'll be responsible for identifying and qualifying new leads, conducting outbound prospecting, and setting up introductory meetings or demonstrations for our senior sales team. This entry to mid-level role is ideal for an energetic individual with excellent communication skills, a strong desire to learn, and a passion for connecting with people and uncovering business opportunities.
Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Prospecting:
Research and identify potential clients and market segments that align with our target audience.
Utilize various tools and platforms (LinkedIn Sales Navigator, industry databases, online research) to build targeted prospect lists.
Conduct outbound outreach via cold calling, email, and social media to initiate contact with potential customers.
Lead Qualification:
Engage prospects in meaningful conversations to understand their business needs, challenges, and potential fit for our products/services.
Qualify leads based on established criteria (., budget, authority, need, timeline - BANT).
Nurture early-stage leads and build rapport to move them further down the sales funnel.
Appointment Setting:
Successfully schedule introductory meetings, product demonstrations, or discovery calls for Senior Sales Executives or Business Development Managers.
Ensure prospects are well-informed and prepared for the follow-up discussions.
CRM Management & Reporting:
Accurately record and update all prospecting activities, lead statuses, and customer interactions in the CRM system (., Salesforce, HubSpot).
Generate regular reports on lead generation activities, conversion rates, and pipeline contributions.
Market Intelligence:
Gather market feedback and intelligence from prospect interactions, contributing insights on industry trends and competitor activities.
Provide feedback to marketing and product teams based on customer conversations.
Continuous Learning:
Continuously learn about our products/services, industry trends, and effective sales techniques.
Participate in training sessions and coaching to refine prospecting and communication skills.
