Job Description

- Handle billing operations at the point of sale (POS) counters efficiently and accurately.

- Scan items, apply discounts/promotions, and generate invoices for customers.

- Ensure quick and customer-friendly checkout experience.

- Accept payments in various forms including cash, credit/debit cards, UPI, and vouchers.

- Count cash in the register at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure accurate totals.

- Issue itemized bills and receipts for every transaction.

- Ensure GST-compliant billing and maintain proper records of all invoices.

- Regularly update product prices and stock entries in the POS.

- Report system errors or price mismatches to the supervisor.

- Respond to customer queries regarding product pricing, discounts, or billing issues.

- Maintain a polite and professional demeanor during customer interactions.

- Coordinate with floor staff, inventory, and accounts team for smooth billing operations.

- Report daily sales summaries and discrepancies to the accounts or store manager.

- Comply with safety, hygiene, and operational standards of the mall.
