the visa counselor is responsible for guiding clients through the visa application process for various countries. this role involves providing accurate information, evaluating client eligibility, preparing documentation, and ensuring a smooth and efficient application experience. the visa counselor acts as the primary point of contact for all visa-related inquiries and support.

key responsibilities

provide detailed information to clients regarding visa categories, requirements, fees, and processing timelines.

assess client eligibility based on immigration rules and assist in selecting the appropriate visa type.

guide clients in preparing and organizing all required documents for visa applications.

review and verify documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with embassy/consulate standards.

submit visa applications online or through relevant authorities and track application progress.

maintain up-to-date knowledge on visa rules, immigration changes, and country-specific requirements.

handle client queries through phone, email, or in-person consultations.

provide pre-departure briefings and guidance on travel, accommodation, and cultural aspects (if required).

maintain accurate client records and ensure confidentiality of personal information.

build strong relationships with embassies, consulates, and other external partners.

assist with appointment scheduling, fee payments, and interview preparation.

meet monthly targets related to client conversions, submissions, or revenue (as applicable).

qualifications

bachelors degree in any discipline; specialization in international studies, travel, or related fields is a plus.

previous experience in visa counseling, immigration advisory, or the travel/education consultancy sector preferred.

strong understanding of visa regulations and embassy procedures.

excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

high attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.

ability to work under pressure and manage multiple client cases simultaneously.

proficiency in computer applications, online portals, and documentation software.
